Cabletron Systems E2100 Series DNI cards enable users to connect IBMPC/XT, PC AT, or compatibles to an Ethernet network made of a widevariety of transmission media including twisted pair, fiber optic, andcoaxial cable.The E2100 series interface is available in six styles for any IBM PC/XT,PC AT, or compatible with an 8-bit or 16-bit AT style bus. Each E2100series DNI card is available with 16 KB or 64 KB of onboard buffermemory.Cabletron's DNI cards were the industry's first PC network interfacecards to have built-in network management and analyzer capabilities.Network administrators can gather information from and control the DNIcards using remote network management stations. Users can identify andsolve network-traffic or workstation access problems quickly and easilyby using network management software packages.
